The dark thing sticking up from the top line of the sock is our $gianach. Invented by Us, it is the answer to the storage issues that all kilt wearers have. It can hold notes, business cards, house and car keys and has the same bulk as a sgian dubh. Of course the $gianch is allowed down-town, whereas the knife would prevent you enetring most clubs and bars.
Mr B speaks.... ''Where does everything go when you're wearing a kilt ? Phone, cards, keys, coins, beer tokens ! On an informal night out, a kilt and jumper combo needs some help – even the formal jacket needs some assistance. Now, with Trewscot's newest gift, the ''$gianach'' keep credit cards, cash and keys in the top of your sock. That leaves the sporran free for the mobile (cell) phone and smash. Trust me it works.

Trewscots has developed the $gianach to replace the knife down the sock .. the sgian dubh. The product name is $gianach. Why did we name it so ?
In Scots Gaelic ''sgian dubh'' translates as ''black knife. '' Remove the dubh (for black) and add ''ach'' and the new word means ''knife-y or knife-like. Perfect for this wee gift.
The $ is self explanatory.

The 6 months to 36 months sporran makes a great ear bud holder and a gift with a difference. It can be used as a purse also if you don't fancy our tartan purses .
